Masters in Interior Design programs are typically 2 years in length and may result in a MA, MS or MFA degree. Interior design masters programs teach a combination of design theory and technical methods. Students might also pick an area of specialization, such as Sustainable Design, Healthcare Interior Environments or Residential Design. Some programs are made for current design professionals, while others may be better suited for those new to the field. Completion times will vary by school, degree type and whether students have a background in interior design.
