The Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program at NCU was designed as part of a path to potential CPA certification.** Students study accounting principles and theory, financial accounting, auditing, cost accounting, budget control, and much more, in a 100% online format. Utica College is an independent, private institution founded in 1946. Like a larger university, they offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs, but Utica maintains the personal feel of a small school. Study on campus in Central New York, or pursue your studies online.
Utica offers an online MBA program with a specialization in Finance and Accounting. In addition to core business courses, students in this track pursue knowledge of fields such as:

Benedictine University is a private, Roman Catholic institution of higher education, rooted in Benedictine values. In addition to the main campus in Lisle, Illinois and a branch campus in Mesa, Arizona, Benedictine offers online programs and international programs.
Benediction is home to an online MBA degree program with a concentration in accounting. Students may choose from two learning paths: taking one course at a time (potentially perfect for working professionals) or accelerating their studies by taking two courses at a time. St. John's University is a Catholic, Vincentian university offering over 100 associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs. Since it was founded in 1870, the university has remained committing to serving others, in the footsteps of St. Vincent de Paul. In addition to programs on its Queens and Staten Island campuses, St. John’s offers online learning, including renowned online graduate business programs.
St. John’s Master of Science in Accounting (M.S.A.) program is offered both on campus and online. Students pursue a variety of coursework in areas like financial reporting, global managerial accounting, and IT auditing, while preparing to sit for the CPA examination (depending on your state’s requirements). The University of Scranton’s AACSB-accredited Kania School of Management offers an online Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program designed for busy professionals. California Baptist University is a private, Christian institution of higher education based in Riverside, California. The university offers bachelor’s, master’s, and credential programs, which students can pursue online or on the Riverside and San Bernardino campuses. CBU was founded in 1950 by the California Southern Baptist Convention and continues to offer Christ-centered education with the goal of helping each student pursue their life’s purpose.
CBU is home to an online Master of Science in Accounting program designed to help students pursue CPA licensure in the state of California. (Applicants who are not from California should check their state’s requirements). The university also offers an online Fully Employed Masters of Business Administration in Accounting degree program (MBA-ACC), which may help students prepare for the CPA exam.

Grand Canyon University is a private, Christian institution of higher education offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs. Students may study online or at one of several campus locations in Arizona and New Mexico. The university was founded in 1949 by the Southern Baptist Church.
The Colangelo College of Business at GCU offers two online accounting programs that may be of interest to prospective graduate students: The Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Science in Accounting. Applicants must have earned an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or program approved by Grand Canyon University, with a GPA of at least 2.8.

Indiana Wesleyan University is an evangelical Christian university founded in 1920. IWU offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate degrees with a focus on the liberal arts and professional education. The university is also known for serving adult learners online and at education centers in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio.
The DeVoe School of Business at IWU offers a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program that may be earned in as few as 18-26 months. Students may choose to pursue their courses online or in person, one night per week. The program focuses on accounting theory and practice, forensic accounting and auditing, and much more, within a biblical framework.

Seton Hall University is a private, Catholic institution of education, named for Elizabeth Ann Seton – the first American-born saint. The university is home to around 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students, across 90 academic majors. Choose to study on campus in South Orange, New Jersey, or check out Seton Hall’s online graduate degree and certificate programs.
Seton Hall is home to several online business and accounting programs, including an MS in Professional Accounting and an MBA in Accounting. Candidates for these two programs may qualify for a GMAT or GRE waiver if they have one of the following: a cumulative GPA of 3.4; 5 years of relevant working experience; a graduate degree from an accredited school; or other criteria. 3 Things You Need to Know About Applying to a Masters in Accounting without GMAT Scores
Taking the GMAT can be costly and require preparation you just don’t have time for. Fortunately, some graduate accounting programs may prioritize other aspects of your applications, like your GPA, letters of recommendation, and your personal statement.
Looking for an online MS or online MBA accounting, no GMAT? Here are a few things you may want to know before applying to a GMAT-free accounting program:
1. Want to Skip the GMAT for Your Accounting Master’s? There May Be Rules. While some MBA or MS in Accounting programs don’t require the GMAT, others offer a different path to potentially skipping the exam: waivers. To be eligible for a waiver, you may have to meet particular requirements. For instance, the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University may grant waivers to applicants who meet certain criteria, such as having an undergrad GPA of at least 3.4 or completing a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. Check with your prospective school to learn more!
2. Look for Accreditation. Just because an online Master’s in Accounting program waives the GMAT doesn’t mean the program has low standards. Reputable, accredited programs may opt to forgo test scores in favor of other admissions criteria. In fact, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business may accredit business schools that waive the GMAT, including The University of Scranton’s Kania School of Management. Simply search for online Masters Accounting AACSB, no GMAT.
3. Be Aware of State Requirements. It can be tempting to look out of state for an online Masters in Accounting, no GMAT. And that might be perfectly fine! Just be aware of state requirements for pursuing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure, if that’s your goal. Since these can vary, you’ll want to know if pursuing that out-of-state Masters in Accounting without GMAT requirements is compatible with your state’s rules and regulations for becoming a CPA.
