The Department of Statistics offers graduate programs leading to a minor in statistics, to a master of science in applied statistics, and to a master of science and a doctor of philosophy in statistics. All programs emphasize the understanding and application of a broad variety of statistical methods on real projects. Students will be provided with numerous opportunities to perform analyses and communicate findings. The M.S. and Ph.D. programs in statistics are grounded in theory, primarily in the areas of mathematical statistical and linear models.
