Program Description:

The Jackson School of International Studies offers (1) a Ph.D. program that integrates the renowned area-based capabilities of its master's programs with leading-edge scholarship and practice in the field of international studies; (2) seven two-year area-studies programs that stress interdisciplinary study within the context of the historical cultures, contemporary situations, and languages of the world areas; (3) a two-year master's program in Comparative Religion; and (4) a general master's program in International Studies that concentrates on the interaction of international economic, political and cultural processes and is designed to be done concurrently with a UW professional degree (MBA, JD, MPA, etc.).
