Program Description:

Radford University will offer a Master of Occupational Therapy program, beginning in Fall 2009. Students will complete the program on a full-time, year-round basis, in seven terms. Application materials are available now, and students will be notified about admission status in May and June. Occupational therapy is a health profession that focuses on enabling people with special needs to do the occupations of daily life; that is to care for themselves and their families and homes, to work or study, and to enjoy rest and play activities. Occupational therapists work with people of all ages, in hospitals, schools and community agencies.

The M.O.T. program was approved in 2008 by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. It currently holds Developing Program Status with the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
