Designed for those with an undergraduate degree in the liberal arts and sciences. Complete a teacher licensure program while earning a master's degree. Course work is offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters, full- or part-time, primarily in the evenings.
Licensure is offered for PK-12 through this program. A total of 40 credits (including the final thesis) plus student teaching (12 credits) are required. Additional courses may be needed as well to fulfill state licensure requirements. Personal counseling from the education department will enable student to know exactly what is required prior to entering the program.
Hollins offers a grant to cover the cost of 12 credit hours for student teaching. Hollins also offers the TEACH grant beginning fall 2014.

International Student Requirements:
In addition to the requirements for all applicants, international applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit the TOEFL scores and the Proficiency in English form. Additionally, all international applicants are required to submit the Certification of Finances form indicating their capacity to pay tuition, fees, living expenses, and other costs associated with participation in the program.
