The M.Ed. Program in Educational Leadership includes an emphasis in Higher Education Administration. This program is designed to prepare students for leadership and service positions in colleges, universities, community colleges, government agencies, research agencies, educational associations, and other post-secondary educational settings. Graduates have pursued careers in admissions, student services, student records, intercollegiate athletics administration, campus facilities, university business offices, institutional advancement, institutional research, and other administrative and support services in higher education.
Ph.D. Degree - Primary Career Intention: Upper level administrative positions and faculty careers within colleges and universities; policy-oriented positions in centers, associations, or government (e.g., higher education faculty, policy analyst, state or federal government higher education support offices, college president, consultant, administrative positions that support student affairs, student advisement, development, residential life, academic affairs, continuing education and outreach, international affairs, community college administration)
Ed.D. Degree - Primary Career Intention: Administrative positions that support areas within student affairs and organizational support offices (e.g., student advisement, development, residential life, academic affairs, continuing education and outreach, international affairs, community college administration and faculty work)
