Program Description:

Champlain College’s Master of Science in Emergent Media is a 30-credit, one-year program, offered both online and on-campus, designed to appeal to those who wish to have careers producing and managing the collaborative process of the next generation of media content such as mobile apps, interactive experiences, augmented reality and games. You’ll learn from experts from the world of video games, interactive design, mobile computing and more. Working with students in our MFA in Emergent Media program, you'll learn the dynamics of contemporary collaboration—linking technical skills with critical thinking and the creative process. Students studying on-campus have access to 3D printers, laser and vinyl cutters, and Arduinos thanks to our state-of-the-art Emergent Media Center and MakerLab. Burlington, Vermont's vibrant art scene and relative proximity to high-tech hubs makes it a prime location to live and work with emergent media.
