MS in Kinesiology
The mission of the Department of Health and Kinesiology’s graduate program is to prepare graduate students to function professionally in a diverse and changing society, improve quality of life, and promote healthy lifestyles through the understanding and delivery of physical activity and wellness concepts.
Although programs can be individualized, the basic degree requirements are the same for all Kinesiology graduate students at UT Pan American. Whether students take all their courses online or combine online with traditional classes, their program requirements are the same. By providing a combination of traditional classes and the Web-based classes, the Kinesiology faculty at UTPA is attempting to meet the professional needs and aspirations of their graduate students.
The University of Texas-Pan American is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters', and doctorate degrees.
International Student Requirements:
TOEFL (500 for paper/pencil tests; 173 for computer based-tests; 61 for internet-based tests) or IELTS (5.5 or above) scores,
Evaluation of Educational Records through FCSA,
English Translation of Educational Records,
Three letters of Recommendation, and
GPA of 2.5 or higher to be considered; 2.75 or higher to be admitted.
