The College of Engineering's Department of Mechanical Engineering offers several flexible programs leading to a Master of Science in mechanical engineering. Major areas of concentration are fluid and thermal sciences, dynamics and control of mechanical systems, and solid mechanics / material sciences. However, because the degree is tailored to the individual, the course work usually overlaps the boundaries of the major areas.
