Master of Liberal Arts
The Liberal Arts is an evening program, designed to accommodate the busy schedule of working professionals.
Through the Master of Liberal Arts at St. Edward’s University, you will hone skills in analytical thinking, persuasive writing and oral communication.
Your degree culminates in a hands-on special project that allows you to create and present an original body of work that enhances public understanding and encourages dialogue on an issue. With the broad knowledge gained in the MLA program, career paths are far-reaching, including, but not limited to, careers in journalism, marketing, counseling and law. Graduates may choose to continue their education in a PhD or MFA program as well.
The MLA offers classes in a variety of formats, including online, daytime, and a combination of classroom and online. Taking two classes each semester, you will complete the MLA in two years.
St. Edward's University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
International Student Requirements:
If English is not your native language, you will additionally need to achieve a minimum score of 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL (or its equivalent in other formats) or a score of 6.0 on the IELTS. You may also need other documents in order to gain admission and should work closely with your admission coordinator on those requirements.
