Program Description:

The Graduate Program in Reading/Storytelling offers a Graduate Certificate in Storytelling. This is a 21-credit-hour post-baccalaureate sequence containing core master's-level coursework in storytelling performance skills and practice (Basic and Advanced Storytelling, Historical Foundations, Practicum, Vocal Training, and electives) without the more academically oriented degree requirements such as Research Methods, Linguistics, and Thesis. If, after completion of the Storytelling Certificate, a student subsequently applies and is admitted into a M.A. in Reading with a concentration in Storytelling, all 21 credits from the certificate may be approved for transfer into the M.A. Reading program.
