Advanced training in the field is completed by close guidance from faculty and a high degree of interaction among faculty and students. The student will move through a series of small, intensive classes toward a Master's thesis or a combined oral / written field examination. Whether a student chooses the Master's degree as a terminal degree or intends to pursue doctoral studies, the program conforms to a high standard of intellectual rigor.
