CERTIFICATE IN ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT
In addition to the Master of Science degree, the College of Engineering offers a Certificate in Engineering Management. This 9-semester hour program provides participants an introduction to the basic concepts of business management from the perspective of a technology professional, as well as an understanding of critical issues around new product development and market success for new technologies. Students in the Certificate program will take one required class (EMGT 5633) and 6 additional semester hours. In most cases, these credits can be applied to the M.S. in Engineering Management degree should a student decide to pursue the full degree.
To apply for the Certificate in Engineering Management, students must complete and submit the following documents:
- Application Form
- Statistical Record for New and Returning Students
- Official transcript from each post-secondary institution attended
- Statement of Goals
- For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL or IELTS exam is required with the following minimum scores: 79 on the internet-based TOEFL OR a 6.5 on the academic version of the IELTS.
