Certificates in Applied Behavior Analysis

Format: Campus

Program Description:

The need for highly skilled professionals that can assess and support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders has never been greater.

PCOM’s Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate online program is designed to meet the needs of working professionals by providing flexible, convenient access to coursework.

The 18-credit program meets the guidelines established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and fulfills the coursework requirement to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam. In order to obtain the BCBA credential, students must also complete a supervised field experience and pass an exam.

PCOM has two options for admission into the certification program:

  • The Certificate of Graduate Study program requires a bachelor’s degree for admission.
  • The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study program requires a master’s degree for admission. This certificate is also available as part of the curriculum offered in the Master of Science in School Psychology program. Students may complete the Applied Behavior Analysis Certification without matriculating into the Master of Science in School Psychology program.

Both options offer the same coursework.

Upon completion of the certification program, students will have solid skills in the areas of comprehensive behavioral assessment, intervention and consultation.

This program is designed for individuals interested in learning about behavioral assessment and intervention as it relates to positive change within the learning environment, as well as home and other applied settings.
