Master of Arts in Music with a concentration in Collaborative Piano
Mansfield University is proud to promote a fairly new concentration within its Master of Arts in Music program. The Collaborative Piano concentration is designed for two groups of pianists: Professional accompanists who seek to enhance their skills and increase their marketability through an advanced degree in their field and recently graduated pianists who are interested in developing the skills necessary to pursue a career in chamber music and accompanying.
Graduate Assistantships are available, pending funding. The degree can be completed in one year of residency and summer on-line courses.
This program prepares pianists for collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists with coursework that addresses the specific needs of both genres. Students work with accomplished musicians and teachers - Mansfield's piano, instrumental and vocal faculty are known throughout the region, the country, and the world.
The Mansfield University Music Department is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
