Program Description:

Learn to address economic, social, and ecological issues when developing commercial, industrial, institutional or residential real estate development projects for the 21st century, using the city of Philadelphia and surrounding areas as a living laboratory.

You will combine environmental and economic sustainability, social consciousness, design excellence and financial feasibility in new development, rehabilitation and redevelopment projects to invigorate communities and shape healthy places to live, work, and play. Learn to approach projects ranging from the single buildings to entire districts, using the city of Philadelphia as a living laboratory.

In the program, you will learn from a faculty of industry experts who provide real-world insight to sustainable practices, legal aspects of land-use, city and regional planning, construction science and management. Collaborative projects, case study analysis, on-site visits, and real-world projects will give you experience in the development process from market analysis and valuation, while building a network of professional contacts.
