GMercyU is on a rolling admissions calendar, and the first step for applicants to Gwynedd Mercy graduate business, education and nursing programs is to complete an online application. For students interested in the MBA program at the Main Campus in Gwynedd Valley, there is a separate form.
Applicants should also note that there may be program specific admissions requirements. For instance, to apply into any of GMercyU’s MBA programs, students must meet the following conditions.
- Have a completed bachelors degree from a regionally accredited university or college with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Provide two supervisory letters of reference
- Furnish proof of English language proficiency (foreign students)
- Take prerequisite courses if undergraduate major was not in accounting, economics, business or a related field

Gwynedd Mercy University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an agency that accredits institutions and is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Earn an MBA at GMercy U
Do you want to earn an MBA the old-school way (face-to-face) but you don’t want to interrupt your ongoing career? Gwynedd Mercy University offers an “on-ground” MBA degree program on the Main Campus and it is just two nights per week. Class size is small and based on a cohort model which means students could form relationships with peers as they collaborate of group projects.
A 30-credit program, the GMercyU MBA includes a focus on ethics and strategic thinking to help students develop an advanced business mindset and the skills to ready oneself for professional challenges. Students could also learn how to communicate persuasively and solve workplace problems through appropriate business decisions. Plus, there is a choice of three concentrations so one could tailor studies to interests and goals.

Prepare for Advanced Nursing at Gwynedd Mercy
Gwynedd Mercy University offers a variety of Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Programs. One example is their MSN – Clinical Nurse Specialist (MSN-CNS) Adult Gerontology program. This program aims to expand professional nursing skills specific to adults and older patients. Graduates may be prepared to provide advanced treatment to patients in acute, rehabilitative and ambulatory care, lead other nurses, and train the next generation of nurses. Students could also gain experience in scientific research and professional writing.
A 43-credit program, the MSN-CNS is designed as a two-year program. After graduation, students may be prepared to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center Clinical Nurse Specialist Exam and subsequently, to qualify as a CNS. The MSN-CNS could also serve as the academic platform for graduates to pursue a doctoral degree in nursing, such as the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) which Gwynedd Mercy also offers.
Study OT at Gwynedd
Understand how to treat patients that are injured, disabled, or ill through Gwynedd Mercy’s Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program. Built as a 2 ½ year graduate program, the MSOT is housed within the Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. It is based on 77 credits and includes 5 academic and 2 fieldwork terms.
This entry-level occupational therapy masters degree program has applied for accreditation and has been granted Candidacy Status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Students could check with the school for a projected timeline vis a vis accreditation.
