The online sport management master's degree can be completed in two years. Students will complete 50% of the coursework online, with the remaining hours to be completed on-site in Morgantown. Students will be required to attend on-campus courses during a two-week period in July for three consecutive summers. Please note this is not included in your tuition and fees.
Those who seek to complete the degree must be practicing professionals currently involved in their respective sport-related careers or professionals desiring a career in the sport industry. In order to enhance their careers, they must expand their skill sets to include administration and management of large-scale events and/or governance and staffing of multi-mission agencies. In addition, these professionals must develop expertise in fundraising, marketing, and resource development. These skills will uniquely prepare the professional with the latest theory-based approach to the management and administration of sport, leisure, and recreation.
