Graduate Certificate in Engineering and Technology Management, Master of Engineering and Technology Management
Washington State University’s master of Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) program, established in 1982, serves technical professionals and engineers from around the globe who want to learn how to more effectively manage organizations, projects, people, and technology for better results, while still maintaining a full-time job. The program has been recognized as one of the top 30 online engineering programs in America. Students graduate with a Master’s of Engineering and Technology Management.

The ETM program also offers seven specialized graduate certificates. This allows students to complete shorter professional blocks of coursework relevant to their specific needs. Students may take four courses (12-credit hours) in specialized areas. A certificate is awarded upon completion of these courses. Course credits earned for a certificate may also apply to a master’s degree in the ETM program or other graduate degree programs. A student may earn more than one certificate and may work on the certificate and master’s program concurrently.
This all-online program is delivered using an innovative blend of traditional classroom instruction and the latest in web conferencing technologies; which allows students and faculty to interact in real time as well as providing the benefits of recorded classes for busy students. Faculty all have industry experience allowing them to relate real world organization savvy. Students are encouraged to use current business issues in conjunction with the coursework to solve existing problems in their workplace.
A Master’s Degree in Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) requires 30 semester hours (10 courses) of coursework and two to four credits of a final non-thesis project report or comprehensive exam. The program is interdisciplinary, with course offerings in engineering management and technology-related business courses. Up to four graduate engineering electives from a student’s technical discipline may also be applied to completion of the degree.
