Master’s in Sports Medicine
The master’s in sports medicine degree program allows a graduate to specialize with amateur or professional athletes in a clinic or as a team physician. Students take in-depth courses in sports medicine and injury management culminating in a capstone experience. Are you a practicing physician or health care professional interested in the clinically-based MS in sports medicine? Are you a prospective DC student looking for information about our dual-degree MS/DC program? Many students that enroll in this program are concurrently enrolled in the DC program at UWS, but you can also take the program if you are already in practice. Those students that are not on campus follow the same schedule of courses, but have the option of taking the hands-on lab sessions over one weekend (typically scheduled for the 8th or 9th week of each quarter) rather than weekly lab sessions. In addition, off campus students will arrange their practicum hours with a supervisor in their area. There is also potential for students at other chiropractic schools to concurrently enroll in this program; however, those students will be evaluated on an individual basis to ensure the proper prerequisites are met and priority will be given to UWS students.
