The M.S.A. 12 semester hour core curriculum presents the necessary background in business related topics, including managerial economics, financial management, management skills, marketing management, and management and organizational behavior.
The Healthcare Administration M.S.A. specialization prepares graduates for administrative management positions within public and private health care agencies, clinics, and hospitals. It offers working professionals the opportunity to enhance administrative skills to manage healthcare personnel, programs, and organizations. Coursework prepares students build managerial and critical thinking skills useful in careers as health care administrators. The program integrates social marketing theory and practice, and was designed to provide an understanding of federal and not-for-profit structures and processes as well as the political/economic/ organizational environment in which the health care administrator works. In addition, coursework also prepares students for admission to doctoral programs and professional schools.
