MS in Regulatory Science, Masters in Drug Development (MDD)
Industry requests for USC Regulatory Science graduates are constant. Students can look forward to being in demand by future employers. A career in biomedical product development offers the chance to work on products that will save lives.
The USC Regulatory Science program serves both full and part-time students interested in expanding their knowledge of regulatory affairs, clinical research and quality systems. Our goal is to develop leaders in regulatory science in industry, government and academia. Our courses can also be taken by a limited number of students who are interested in taking individual courses on certain topics, if spaces are available in the classroom. We believe that the classroom is an important place to interact, so we have put many courses on evenings and weekends to help those who are working during the week. Typically our courses can be taken by distance or onsite. Onsite classes are held in Los Angeles and in San Francisco.
Regulatory Science relates the regulatory and legal requirements of biomedical product development to the scientific research needed to ensure the safety and efficacy of those products. It is an emerging profession experiencing tremendous growth. The rapid expansion of the biomedical industry has resulted in a particularly large and unmet demand for regulatory professionals, both nationally and internationally. The Master of Science in Regulatory Science is an intensive, interdisciplinary program within the School of Pharmacy designed to produce graduates whose backgrounds in biological, pharmaceutical, and biomedical sciences are enhanced by the knowledge and skills needed to manage regulated biomedical products.
