Program Information

Degrees Offered:

Master of Social Work - Military Social Work

Format: Online

Program Description:

The MSW@USC gives students the opportunity to earn the same quality education on-campus students receive. Our robust virtual environment provides the latest web-based technology for a highly interactive experience that mirrors the stringent curriculum of the onsite MSW program delivered by the same faculty.

The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work offers a 35-credit advanced standing MSW program with both full-time (three semesters) and part-time (five semesters) options. Admission to the advanced standing program allows students to complete their MSW degree in less time than the traditional MSW program by waiving the first-year foundation course requirements. Students applying for this option must demonstrate their readiness to perform at the level of a second-year MSW student.

This specialized area of study prepares individuals to provide a full range of human services to the nation’s military personnel, veterans and their families, helping them cope with the stresses of military life. The military sub-concentration can be integrated with any of the four major concentration areas offered through the Virtual Academic Center.
