Program Description:

The Master of Business Administration with an Emphasis in Healthcare Administration online program from the Monfort College of Business prepares you for leading roles by broadening your perspective on healthcare systems, giving you a practical knowledge of finance, budgeting and reimbursement models and their applications, and management techniques within the scope of the healthcare industry.

This program features practitioner-focused emphasis courses in healthcare systems, an in-depth analysis of the economics of healthcare, and managing qualitative issues in healthcare organizations. Specifically, you will examine the history and evolution of healthcare systems; learn to navigate executive decision-making scenarios; and analyze healthcare-related managerial issues such as ethics, technological trends and strategic management.

With our 27 credit hours of core curriculum, you will deepen your competencies in areas such as ethical leadership, managerial accounting, economics, international business, data analytics and visualization, supply chain management, strategic management, advanced finance and more. You will study organizational topics such as motivation, team dynamics, conflict and culture, and gain an in-depth view of leadership. All courses are 7 weeks in length.

To help ensure your success in the program, you will complete four foundation modules covering practical skills in statistics, economics, finance, and accounting, on a pass-fail basis. These required modules are offered free of charge and can be taken concurrently with your first for-credit course in the MBA program.
