Graduate Certificate in Public Administration
The online Public Administration Graduate Certificate provides you with the core management training needed for positions of authority in the public and not-for-profit sector.
This part-time, online program focuses on enhancing your management and administrative skills, including:
-human resource management
-budgeting and financial administration
With the Public Administration Graduate Certificate program, you will explore:
-basic conceptions and trends in public administration.
-establishing personal standards of conduct, including social justice and whistle blowing.
-the fundamental nature of public personnel administration.
-applying budget theories in the fiscal management of the public or non-profit sectors.
-the legal dimension of public administration, including rule-making and personnel law.
This program is designed for working professionals. Fully online, you will participate in "live" Web classes typically held one evening per week. You are NOT required to come to campus at any time.

All courses in the Graduate Certificate program may be applied to a fully-online Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree should you be admitted at a later date.

If English is not your native language, you must complete the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) prior to admission. If you have received a bachelor’s degree or higher from the United States or English-speaking Canada, you are not required to fulfill the English test requirement.
