Program Description:

The online Master of Arts (MA) in Forensic Psychology program prepares you to apply psychology to legal systems. It emphasizes how to relate psychological evaluations to the criminal justice and social service systems. With this part-time, online MA in Forensic Psychology program, you will: -Learn advanced psychological concepts and theories. -Develop outstanding analytical, statistical and evaluation skills. -Enhance communication skills needed to function effectively in forensic settings. -Gain an in-depth understanding of our legal system and the roles forensic psychologists play. This program is designed for working professionals. You will review recorded classroom lectures, access course materials, and submit assignments at the time and place of your choice. The summer after you complete all of your coursework, you will spend 2 weeks on the UND campus in Grand Forks, ND for the accumulating experience of your master's degree program. As the ONLY on-campus component of the program, the capstone experience integrates, extends and applies the knowledge you learned in previous online courses and readings. Pay in-state tuition rates for online courses regardless of where you live. Compared to paying the out-of-state tuition rate, this can translate into big savings for you!

The University of North Dakota as a whole is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The American Psychological Association (APA) does NOT accredit master's or undergraduate level programs in psychology.

If English is not your native language, you must complete the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) prior to admission. If you have received a bachelor's degree or higher from the United States or English-speaking Canada, you are not required to to fulfill the English test requirement.
