This program supports your growth as a professional educator by encouraging you to build on your classroom experience, further developing your German proficiency and deepening your understanding of German culture, language and literature through a completely online customizable option.
Additionally, you'll engage in conversations about vital teaching and learning issues specific to German language teaching and learning with fellow German colleagues across the country.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in German, or its equivalent (OPI Advanced Low Proficiency Score) and should be engaged in the teaching of German K-16. These courses are designed for German teacher educators wishing to pursue professional development specific to their content area (the teaching and learning of German language and culture). The focus is on furthering knowledge and skills in the teaching of German through research based teaching practices, integration of instructional technology and continued development of the German language and culture.
