Program Description:

This endorsement is for individuals seeking a school principal endorsement in elementary (P-8) or secondary (7-12) education, who have already completed a master's degree.

The program integrates the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium Standards to enable students to develop the principles, processes, and practical skills necessary for effective building-level administration and leadership.

This program consists of coursework between 21 and 36 credit hours

You must also submit a portfolio at the completion of the program to verify you meet the standards for administrative certification and to serve as the final examination for the endorsement.

NOTE: Beginning fall 2014, UNL will require candidates for the principal endorsement complete a PRAXIS examination and, beginning fall 2015, a passing score must be met in order to receive the endorsement.
