Program Description:

This 36 credit hour master's degree in Music Education is designed for K-12 music teachers who want to become better instructors. At least one Music course will be available each Fall and Spring semester with three to four music courses offered each Summer. Several non-Music courses are available each Fall, Spring and Summer. These courses will all be offered within a 3-year period. This degree does not grant certification to teach music in K-12 schools. For an out-of-state online student, graduate tuition is $418.00 per credit hour. For a resident of Nebraska, graduate tuition is $269.00 per credit hour (2012-13 rates). Fees are additional.


All programs are fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. UNK is also accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
