The University of Louisville offers an online Master of Education in Teacher Leadership created by the College of Education and Human Development in collaboration with P-12 classroom teachers, school district specialists, university faculty and school administrators throughout Kentucky. This program aims to enhance the skills, knowledge and expertise of the Rank III certified Kentucky teachers, who have a bachelor’s degree and want to grow as leaders in their classroom, school and district.
You can customize your degree by adding endorsements, specializations, or certificates to the core courses, for a total of 30 credit hours. The M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership prepares you to serve as a leader working strategically with learners of all ages, facilitate change at the classroom, school and institutional level, and coach other teachers on pedagogical skills. It is designed around theories and practical techniques that will help you achieve a meaningful and successful career, while also empowering those around you.
Endorsements available online include: Classroom Reading, English as a Second Language, and Instructional Technology. Specializations and certificate options online include: Assistive Technology specialization, and Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) certificate.
