The creation of the PSM degree tracks in Natural Resources and Environmental Science is driven by a keen awareness that the triple bottom line of sustainability as it relates to the economy, environment and social equity is too complicated to be addressed by a single discipline. This interdisciplinary foundation will build broad-based practical skills such as: •Communications •Project management •Business management •Computational skills •Ethics •Legal and regulatory issues •Leadership In addition to their coursework, students will develop professional skills in consultation with prospective employers, through internships, and through problem-based projects sponsored by employers and University of Idaho faculty. This will allow graduates to quickly bring advanced science skills to the workplace. Academic Program Tracks include: •Sustainability Science •Environmental Contamination •Climate Change •Water Resources Management •Management of Regulated River Systems •Ecohydrology Science and Management
