The Barney School of Business
Master of Science in Management
The Masters of Science in Management Program (MSM) is designed to meet the evolving needs of students and employers by providing a modern look at the business world and the knowledge and skills to manage people and processes. Students will engage in a broad-based business curriculum including accounting, finance, marketing, project management, and strategy, while developing the skills necessary to compete in today’s competitive job market.
The MSM Program is designed for working professionals who lack the formal business education needed to start or advance in their careers as managers. Prospective students include graduates with a BA/BS in a nonbusiness related field and professionals who require an advanced degree to enhance their skills. Unlike a quantitatively rigorous and technical MBA degree, the MSM is designed for students seeking broad business knowledge and managerial skills.
The Masters of Management is a 30-credit, part-time program, consisting of 10 courses designed to provide a broad overview of business topics and management skills. Content will be relevant for professionals working in a variety of professions, industries, and organizational contexts. The courses will be unique for and delivered only to MSM students. No courses can be waived. Course titles, descriptions and learning objectives are listed next. Our online delivery provides students with great course flexibility and convenience, while our student support services help insure your smooth progression through the program.
