Master of Arts in Education: Science Education
The University of Findlay offers a flexible Master of Arts in Education, either online, on campus or through a convenient blend of both. The program, designed to promote educational leadership, integrates concepts, history, present practices, issues and trends in the field of education.
The College of Education is accredited by the Council of Accreditation of Education Preparation (CAEP). Additionally, all online courses are aligned with Quality Matters Standards.
This strand will prepare students to teach science at the P-12 grade levels. Through coursework in a variety of science areas, students will gain mastery in understanding and implementing methodologies, designing curricula, utilizing technology, and integrating national science standards into their classrooms.
Opportunities are provided for educators to incorporate course content into practice. Technological tools are employed to supplement course content for the purpose of scientific inquiry. State and national standards across curricular areas will be addressed.
The Science Education strand requires students to complete six courses (18 credits) in addition to the graduate education core.
