Students in Union Institute & University’s Leadership, Public Policy & Social Issues concentration develop a sound knowledge of foundational theory and mastery on research methods, preparing them for leadership and expert roles in a variety of public, private, and nonprofit organizations, as well as foundations and NGOs.
By gaining both conceptual and practical knowledge and insight into leadership and public policy areas, students are ready to assume middle and upper level management roles, and provide strategic decision making, policy analysis, community development, and/or act as change agents at organizational and societal levels.
Within the broad framework of leadership and public policy, and with special emphasis on ethical and social responsibility, the concentration provides multidisciplinary perspectives that fit the student’s interests, goals, and passions.
