The Path to a better future is right in front of you
Master of Education - Teaching Art
Format: Online
The Tiffin University Master of Education (MEd) degree program with a Teaching concentration helps students take the next step forward in their teaching careers. It offers certificates in English, Communication and Art — three disciplines commonly taught in Ohio College Credit Plus (CCP) programs.
Your Teaching Art Concentration
Tiffin University’s teaching concentrations help high school teachers with an MEd degree earn the credits required to teach Art at the college level. Each certificate program has a 12 credit-hour core of classes and 18 credit hours of the discipline curriculum. This program does not lead to licensure.
Teaching Art: Explores Western tradition art, contemporary film and graphics. Teaches visual literacy and how to interpret and evaluate all forms of visual media.
Practical Education
There is a national shortage of CCP teachers. In 2015, the State of Ohio implemented the CCP program and mandated that all public higher education organizations provide college-level classes to high school students. Graduates of this program are credentialed to teach english, communication or art at the high school and undergraduate college level.
