Program Description:

Be an integral part of shaping and improving communities worldwide. Launched in 1982 , SNHU’s was the first Community Economic Development program (CED). Now fully online, the Master of Science in Community and Economic Development degree supports CED activists and practitioners in the US and abroad. Our graduate degree is a 20-month master's degree designed for working professionals interested in acquiring the credentials and skills to help communities become more stable and sustain growth and opportunity.  Students are required to plan and implement a CED project in their communities as part of the program. The “learning by doing” sequence of courses takes place throughout the duration of the program and is designed for students to learn and apply directly all the skills and tools CED practitioners need to enhance their community-based work. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum 2.75 GPA. No GMAT or GRE required. Foundational business course work may be required.
