MS Applied Economics
SNHU's online MS in Applied Economics offer advance graduate education in both the interpretive and scientific skills needed to become an expert decision-maker and thought leader in your chosen profession. Explore diverse theoretical schools of thought and focus on the analysis of economic variables and the efficient use of resources. Students emerge from the program with a balanced understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometric theory through coursework that covers data collection, data processing, investigative questioning techniques, building advanced economic models, formulating problem statements and hypotheses, econometric and empirical analysis, and communication and presentation of findings to name a few.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum 2.75 GPA. No GMAT or GRE required. Foundational business course work may be required. Students will be exempted out of all foundation courses if they have an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 in one of the following undergraduate degrees in: Statistics, Mathematics, IT (or Computer Science) with a focus on Databases, Business Administration with a focus on Quantitative Analysis. Students who can provide evidence or 2 years of work experience in analytics can be exempted out of all foundation courses.
