Program Description:

Nonfiction is the art of telling real stories – ones that people can learn from, understand and relate to. With an online Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing with a Nonfiction concentration, you will study essays and narratives, improve your own storytelling skills and take on a deeper appreciation of nonfiction. Nonfiction covers a wide swath of styles and subjects, encompassing everything from the personal essay, autobiography and memoirs to travel writing and magazine features. This program does more that just expose you to literature and new writing skills - you can apply the communications skills you learn directly to any profession, including journalism, law, marketing and technical writing.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum 2.75 GPA. Applicants must submit a 200-500 word statement of purpose on why they are pursuing the degree. A creative writing sample of 3-10 pages, double spaced, is also required.
