Degrees Offered:

Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Social Media Marketing

Format: Online

Program Description:

Social media marketers plan, direct, or coordinate marketing policies and programs to reach targeted populations with specially-crafted content on social media platforms. By completing South College’s online MBA with a Concentration in Social Media Marketing program, you will be prepared to serve in high-level social media marketing and digital marketing positions either on behalf of a brand or in an agency setting.

In this program, you will study the theory, strategy, platforms, and limitations of social media for marketing. You’ll examine real-world case studies of successful and unsuccessful marketing campaigns, and develop your own strategies based on the latest innovations and analytical tools available in the field.

In specialized social media marketing courses, you’ll learn to brainstorm, refine, implement, track, and supervise social media marketing plans. You’ll develop business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) campaigns aimed at attracting potential customers’ attention, earning engagement, and increasing conversions. In addition to the three social media marketing courses, students also study foundational business skills like leadership, accounting, economics, finance, organizational management, marketing, research, and operations management.

This online program is offered in an asynchronous online format with both full-time and part-time options, allowing you to work around your busy schedule. Course papers and projects give you a change to tailor your coursework to your own objectives and interests, and the capstone course provides a unique opportunity for a thorough investigation of a business dilemma in your area of focus, incorporating principles of marketing, economics, analytics, social media management concepts and theories, and project management.
