Shawnee State University Online Campus’s Master of Education with Intervention Specialist licensure expands your knowledge so that you can pursue many career goals. With your Intervention Specialist license, you can have your own classroom, move up in salary, secure leadership positions in education, or move on to a doctoral degree. Our curriculum is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

The graduate education core at Shawnee State offers comprehensive study of cognitive and motivational theories, integrating technology into learning, professional ethics, educational data analysis, and educational research. In your Intervention Specialist track, you will study the nature, needs, accommodations, and technologies for students with mild to moderate disabilities. Expert faculty will guide you through analysis of collaboration and transition models, diverse families and communities, assessment and instructional planning for students with disabilities, classroom management, behavioral interventions, and curriculum and instruction.

Shawnee State’s online Master of Education with Intervention Specialist licensure also gives you hands-on experience in the field, including an internship as you study instructional strategies.
