Master of Science in Nursing - Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care
The online M.S.N., A.G.N.P. from Seton Hall University builds the skills graduates need to serve adolescent to elderly populations as a nurse practitioner in acute care or primary care settings. Students prepare for the AANPCP exam and graduate ready to provide evidence-based compassionate care and improve their communities. The program gives students the opportunity to select one of two study tracks. The Primary Care track focuses on disease prevention, health promotion and the management of patients with multisystem health problems. Students prepare for practice in a primary care office, occupational health clinic or university health clinic. The Acute Care track prepares students to take care of patients with acute and chronic disease management within hospital, urgent care, emergency room and subacute settings. The curriculum focuses on a patient population with acute, critical and chronic illness, disability or injury.
Founded in 1856, Seton Hall is one of the country’s leading Catholic universities. Rich in history, Seton Hall is also an institution on the rise. U.S. News ranks us among the top universities, and we have moved up 13 places in just five years. Our research grants have also soared by 75 percent in the last five years and 11 of our faculty have received Fulbright awards over the past 3 years.
Through online programs we offer an intellectually challenging environment, real-world experiences and a culture of optimism that propels great minds. We cultivate the kinds of leaders who align personal ambition with a deep commitment to civic good.
