MS in Criminal Justice - Behavior Analysis Specialization
The online Master’s in Criminal Justice is a dynamic, top-to-bottom examination of the Criminal Justice system delivered from the perspective of industry leaders. The curriculum is designed to create scholar/practitioners – students who not only understand the latest research trends and administrative strategies in the Criminal Justice system, but are working professionals who can put those strategies into action.
Saint Joseph’s University offers a specialization or post-master’s certificate in Behavior Analysis as part of the online Master’s in Criminal Justice Program.
Throughout the program, students will develop the skills and principles of behavior analysis to perform behavior assessments, intervention plans and to train others in effective implementation. Coursework includes the principles of applied behavior analysis, writing behavioral objectives, identification and consultation, treatment plan design and evaluation for developmental problems - including language, conduct, defiance, depression and autism - and functioning as parole and probation officers to adults and children.
The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) has approved the curriculum (courses CRJ 622 through CRJ 657) as meeting the 4th Edition Task List’s coursework requirement for taking the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Examination. Those taking the BCBA examination will need six (6) courses for 18 credits with 270 contact hours. Applicants will have to meet additional internship requirements outside of the online program to qualify.
