Industrial-organizational psychologists help boost worker productivity and retention rates in a wide range of businesses, and according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the field is expected to grow.* Purdue Global’s concentration is geared toward working professionals who want to build their knowledge in an area that is relevant to business today and includes a practicum that allows students to gain hands-on experience in the field. Coursework focuses on organizational management and behavior theories and strategies, workplace motivation and attitudes, training and evaluation, and human resources management to help you pursue a broader range of opportunities.† Practicum and nonpracticum versions of the concentration are available. The practicum is designed to provide students with hands-on, real-world experience within the field.
