Water Conflict Management and Transformation Graduate Certificate
The OSU Department of Geosciences in the College of Science now offers an online certificate in Water Conflict Management and Transformation in cooperation with Ecampus. Because current approaches to water resource education do not address the challenges of water resource and conflict management, this 18-credit online graduate certificate will provide the tools for decision-making and strategizing when faced with these global issues.
The certificate provides in-depth skills-building training to enhance personal and institutional capacity in water governance issues and strategies across distinct and overlapping contexts: water governance, water and ecosystem, water and society, water and economics. This approach will prepare graduates of the program to address and facilitate hydrodiplomacy, conflict resolution, public participation, strategic planning, finance administration and public policy and law.
Oregon State University is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The Oregon State Board of Higher Education has authorized the University to offer undergraduate and graduate level certificates, baccalaureate, masters, doctorate, and first professional degrees.
Online and distance courses offered through Extended Campus are taught by OSU faculty and carry requirements for reading, research, and examinations that are similar to on-campus courses.
