Program Information

Degrees Offered:

Master of Civil Engineering - Construction Management

Format: Online

Program Description:

When it comes to construction programs, most tend to focus exclusively on tools and projects. Norwich University’s Master of Civil Engineering – Construction Management online program has the flavor of an “MBA in Construction.”  Designed as an executive master’s degree, this program is more strategic than tactical. The curriculum places emphasis at the firm level and explores how projects fit strategically into the firm’s portfolio. Rather than teaching you how to use project management tools, the program teaches you how to manage those who use the tools. For example, without teaching the nuts and bolts of Building Information Modeling (BIM), this online program introduces it in the context of the organization’s MIS system. If you’re in need of refreshing your skills but do not have the necessary background to be successful in the program, prerequisite courses are available.
