Master of Arts in Military History
The Norwich University Master of Arts in Military History online is a thorough expedition into the causes, strategies and execution of significant military operations from classical times to the 20th century. Our sweeping program investigates military activity throughout Western and non-Western history and presents students with varying – and often conflicting – interpretations to help provide a more comprehensive understanding of military conflicts and the underlying events. Military conflicts such as the American Revolution, the Civil War, the Vietnam War and World Wars I and II are examined in great detail, providing insight on the strategies, events and outcomes that have shaped history.
Our university is uniquely qualified to offer this advanced degree experience. Norwich was the nation’s very first private military college as well as the birthplace of the ROTC program. Our graduates have served in every American war since Norwich was founded back in 1819.
The MMH program is delivered in a convenient online format to allow working professionals to maintain their employment and meet family obligations while earning their degree. Classes are limited to 16 to promote one-on-one interaction between students and faculty.
