Based on data from Fall 2015i, Northcentral University has a total graduate enrollment of 10,861 students and 100% of students are enrolled in distance education. Also, for the years 2014-2015, 57 bachelor’s degrees, 799 master’s degrees, 399 Doctor degrees, and 230 post-graduate certificates were awarded.i Northcentral University is primarily a graduate degree granting university and the number of full-time, first-time undergraduates make up less than 1% of the total student population.

Application for NCU programs can be completed online, and an application is valid for one year. Generally, students complete the admissions process and begin their first course within 30 days, and NCU accepts students on a continual basis.

International Transcripts: If English is the second language of a student, an official score demonstrating English proficiency is required for admission.

Military Transcripts: NCU provides special assistance in obtaining transcripts for U.S. military students.

Program Requirements: Each of Northcentral University’s online degree programs and non-degree programs have their own admissions requirements. For example, admission to online MBA programs is based on direct entry which means that individuals with a previously completed bachelor's degree in business from a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution may immediately begin the NCU MBA program.


Northcentral maintains a 100% doctoral faculty. There are 87 full-time & 361 Part-time instructional facultyi. Most faculty members have completed their program of study at a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the discipline in which they either teach or develop curricula.

Online Program Model

All NCU’s programs, except for Marriage and Family Therapy, are 100% online. In fact, most assignments are due on Sunday at midnight allowing you to create your own study schedule that fits your personal and professional obligations. Student Support Services

At NCU, academic exchanges take place in the NCU Course Room. It contains course syllabi, assignments, faculty information and the course gradebook. In addition, the Course Room includes added content delivery features, such as video chats, live lecture capabilities, quizzes, surveys, and embedded video. Accreditation is a process of institutional peer review by non-for-profit agencies who evaluate colleges, universities and educational programs for continuous quality. In terms of accreditation, Northcentral is regionally accredited, and several of its individual programs are accredited as well. • Regional Accreditation: NCU is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSUC). • Program Accreditation: North Central’s business programs in the School of Business and Technology Management are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Additionally, education graduate programs are accredited by the Graduate Teacher Education Accreditation Council (GTEAC). The Master of Arts in MFT is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE). • Northcentral University is a Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) for Project Management Institute (PMI)® and Project Management courses can be recognized for academic credit. • Northcentral’s Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Security, and Management Information Systems majors can be recognized by the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS).
