Program Description:

Forensic nursing is the practice of nursing in which health care and the legal systems intersect. An emerging field, forensic nursing encompasses a body of specialized knowledge that serves a unique and critical role in the healthcare and judicial systems.

As a registered forensic nurse, you’ll collaborate with the field of law to apply nursing science to public and legal proceedings ― protecting, promoting, and optimizing health by providing services to individuals while consulting with healthcare providers, the insurance sector, attorneys, and law-related agencies.

Graduate Certificate in Forensic Nursing

In addition to or instead of pursuing your MSN in forensic nursing, you may earn a 24-credit Graduate Certificate in Forensic Nursing. Designed for nurses who have a bachelor's degree, the curriculum includes 15 credits of Forensic Concentration and 9 credits of Nursing Specialty.
