Program Description:

Millersville University is pleased to announce the launch of its first doctoral program in Educational Leadership in partnership with Shippensburg University.

The Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.), focusing on poverty and technology, is designed to provide rising school district, state level and organizational leaders with the knowledge, skills and dispositions to develop and implement programs that support the Commonwealth’s children in realizing their full academic potential in a wide variety of educational settings.

Ed.D. Program Outcomes

Cohorts of 14-16 students will examine major problems of practice while collaborating with university faculty, leadership fellows who are practicing experts in the field, as well as district-level executive leaders who serve as mentors.

The Ed.D. program will focus on:

Impact of poverty on student achievement

The role of technology in reaching larger audiences of students with effective learning strategies.
